Hi, I’m Robyn Veary

I have traded as Sunshine Edits since January 2015. As Sunshine Edits, I assist writers of all disciplines, genres, and levels of experience to improve their writing through educational and (hopefully) helpful text editing.

To those who know me, it was scarcely a surprise when I started a company whose main focus is using language correctly. I developed a love for reading and writing when I was ten years old, and things have snowballed from there.

A love of correcting people’s grammar (Yes, I’m one of ~those people.) led to a talent for helping writers with their punctuation, syntax, spelling, arrangements, active voice, and everything to do with the spoken and written word! Editing is how I help others like me, writers who just want to write better, and I’m excited to help you too.

I help writers improve their writing through educational text editing and related services

Text Editing

This takes a deep dive into the plot, argument, or main premise of your writing and strengthens it. I also correct grammar and spelling errors as far as possible.

Proofreading

This purely focuses on grammar and spelling errors, correcting tense and punctuation issues, and fixing word errors.

Formatting and Typesetting

This makes a document look uniform or prepares it for printing. Typesetting is a new service!

Manuscript Assessment

This provides an assessment of a manuscript, complete or not. I am not a publishing guru, but getting an objective opinion is invaluable.

Reference Checking

This checks and corrects both in-text citations and your lists of references, ensuring compliance with whichever referencing style you use.

Audio Transcription

This takes good-quality audio recordings (as assessed by me) in electronic format and captures the words in a text format. This is a new service!

This takes a document, examines its themes and common topics, and compiles them into an index. This is a new service!
